POCSTARS MiniServer(MiniServer 2.0)

A compact on-premise PoC server for small deployments
POCSTRS MiniServer is a compact on-premise PoC server designed for small, high-density sites such as hotels, restaurants, retail chains and property security. It brings a dedicated PoC core into the customer’s own network, so teams can run group and individual calls, browser-based dispatch, location sharing and emergency alerts on a local, self-controlled system.

MiniServer works with cost-effective Cat.1 PoC devices and Android-based PoC terminals, supports plug-and-play provisioning, and can be deployed quickly on existing IP networks. It is a good fit for sites that need reliable day-to-day coordination, but want to keep overall project cost and operational complexity under control.

Standard Features

PoC voice services
PoC voice services
PoC voice services
MiniServer provides professional PoC voice services including one-to-one calls, group calls, temporary groups and broadcast, with support for call priority, forced release and group listening.
Location visibility
Location visibility
Location visibility
Terminals report their position to the server at configurable intervals, so dispatchers can see user locations in real time and review historical routes when needed.
Emergency SOS and alerts
Emergency SOS and alerts
Emergency SOS and alerts
Users can trigger SOS alarms from their devices. Online users and dispatchers in the same group receive an audible and visual alert with location information, and SOS records can be reviewed later.
Centralised account and device management
Centralised account and device management
Centralised account and device management
Terminal and dispatcher accounts are managed centrally, including user creation, group assignment and access control, so customers have a single place to maintain their PoC users and devices.

Enhanced Features

Flexible network and IP adaptation
Flexible network and IP adaptation
MiniServer supports both static and dynamic IP addressing, so it can be deployed in a wide range of enterprise and broadband environments without always requiring fixed public IP addresses. A built-in connectivity check helps verify network reachability and reduce time spent on field diagnosis.
Cost-effective Cat.1 device ecosystem
Cost-effective Cat.1 device ecosystem
MiniServer provides lifecycle management for Cat.1 PoC devices and Android-based PoC terminals, including binding device identifiers to a specific MiniServer instance and monitoring online status. This gives partners more flexibility to balance device cost and user experience for small-site projects.
Browser-based dispatcher
Browser-based dispatcher
A web dispatcher allows supervisors to use command and control functions from standard browsers, reducing installation effort and supporting more flexible control room and remote working setups.
Advanced client access and group monitoring
Advanced client access and group monitoring
Clients support multiple login methods and service environment switching, for example between different POCSTARS environments where applicable. Multi-group monitoring allows users to listen to several groups at the same time while the terminal manages floor control according to the configured priorities.
Device telemetry and operational visibility
Device telemetry and operational visibility
MiniServer collects device status information such as application version, battery level and signal strength, giving dispatchers better visibility of frontline device health and helping identify issues that may affect daily operations.

Value & Advantages

Lower total cost for small deployments
Lower total cost for small deployments
MiniServer is optimised for small deployments using cost-effective Cat.1 and Android PoC devices. Combined with support for dynamic IP in many scenarios, this helps reduce both network and device costs compared with traditional on-premise cores or large nationwide platforms.
Lightweight deployment and operation
Lightweight deployment and operation
MiniServer can be deployed on existing IP networks and broadband connections, with plug-and-play device provisioning and a browser-based dispatcher. This simplifies rollout and day-to-day operation for customers without dedicated telecom engineers.
Data control and local ownership
Data control and local ownership
Because services run on a server in the customer’s own environment, communication data such as call records, recordings and location information can remain under local control, which is important for customers with stricter internal policies or regulatory requirements.
